Customized Trip Curation Fee
Every custom itinerary is designed from scratch, with care and precision. On average, each trip takes about 20 hours from our first conversation to your return home — including research, design, booking, and ongoing support.
To cover this time and expertise, we charge an upfront, non-refundable $600 trip curation fee for up to two travelers.
Each additional traveler on the same itinerary is $100.
This fee includes:
- A one-on-one consultation to understand your goals and travel style
- Research, itinerary design, and presentation of a customized proposal
- Booking and managing all trip components
- Detailed daily itineraries and travel documents
- Access to a digital itinerary app for on-the-go convenience
- Assistance with visas, destination information, packing lists, vaccination details, tipping guidelines, and more
- Reconfirmation of all travel arrangements before departure
- Pre and post trip briefings
- 24/7 in-destination support through our trusted local partners and direct access to your advisor
Booking Policies:
Custom Trips
We plan each trip as a complete experience rather than booking isolated components. This ensures every detail — from hotels to tours to transfers — works together seamlessly.
Concierge Services
We’re delighted to arrange extras like dining reservations, spa treatments, or special event tickets.
- If we can coordinate these through your hotel concierge or local partners, there’s no additional fee.
- If we research and book these directly, a $100 per hour Concierge Fee applies.
Last-Minute Bookings
For multi-destination trips planned within 30 days of departure, a $350 rush supplement applies in addition to the standard Trip Curation Fee.
Hotel-Only Bookings
If you already know which hotel you’d like and your travel dates, there’s no fee to book — and you’ll still enjoy Virtuoso amenities and added value.
If you’d like personalized hotel recommendations:
- Single Destination: $150 for up to five hotel options
- Multi-Destination: $150 per destination for up to five options per location
- Changes or Cancellations: $35 per hotel
Airline Bookings
While we don’t issue airline tickets directly, we coordinate through our trusted consolidator partners who provide 24/7 support. Their fee is $75 per person.
Complex Trip Planning
Most itineraries fall within the time included in your Trip Curation Fee. For especially complex journeys requiring additional planning, we’ll discuss this with you in advance. Additional time is billed at $150 per hour.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel and medical insurance to protect your investment. In some destinations or with certain suppliers, insurance is mandatory.

Digital Travel Documents
All your travel details are organized in a user-friendly digital itinerary app, giving you paperless access to confirmations, maps, and contact details while you’re away.
